学校・コースの特徴
オーストラリアで４番目に古い大学と知られるタスマニア大学は、1890 年に設立され、現在、1万6千人の生徒が就学している。その中で、海外留学生は約2千人と少なく、また、風土・人々それぞれに他州では味わうことのできない穏やかな環境で勉強できる点で現在も人気が高い。
タスマニア大学はホバート、ロンセストンにキャンパスを構え、学部によりキャンパスが分けられている。タスマニア大学は学校付近に学生寮を設けており、現地大学生、他国からの留学生も多く利用しているため、国際交流をする上でも魅力的な環境が整っているといえる。オーストラリアの中でも農学部、薬学部は有名で、特に海洋科学、環境科学、南極研究は世界的にも有名。
